When he made his debut early last year, many mistaken him for R. Nanthakumar the centre back who is currently injured for the next 4 months. He didn't made quite an impression then as he was played as a striker but then when he was suddenly switch to a more central role in the midfield, he made everyone impress with his skill and determination. He is fondly known by the fans as Kanu although his style of play is a bit more like Kanu's teammate Patrick Vieira. He is a ball winner and he keeps possession so very well that helped the teammate to organize attack before releasing the ball to them. He has a pair of very long legs to help him do that job and what impresses us most is the fact that he hardly ever put a foot wrong in tackles, he rarely gets booked and he never gets suspended throughout the whole of last season for all the tackles he made. The most notable one is the tackle he made against A. Ganeson of Terengganu last year that forced Ganeson out to the treatment room and had to sit out for the rest of the season. He is a very young player and has tremendous potential of making it big in this coming season.
