He is arguably the closest we have to former legend Azizul Abu Hanifah. He has tremendous skills on the ball and has excellent vision. On his days, he can singlehandedly turn the game around from a brink of defeat to a draw or from a draw to a victory.Unfortunately, he's been trouble by a knee injury suffered during a playing tour in France under Claude Le Roy team which was caused from a very bad tackle from behind by Gary Neville and a front collision with David Beckham. Apart from injury he was also plague by his lack of fitness in recent years since he joined Perak. Looking at current pre-season training and friendly matches, he looks much fitter and stronger than where he left off last year. What seems more encouraging this season is that he is able to finish off quite a number of friendly games full 90 minutes, something that he seldom does last season. He is the team main kick takers as he is responsible for freekicks, right-side corners and sometimes penalties.
